This past week I was keeping up with all the news happening in Ukraine. My youngest seeing all the unrest asked, "What's happening?" I never thought I'd have to explain the concept of war to a 6 year old.I basically said that one country was trying to take over another country. He asked why and I answered, "I don't know." I didn't quite know how to explain all the different nuances of the situation. Luckily he stopped asking questions.I like to think I'm prepared to answer all types of questions my kids may ask. This just goes to show that you'll never know what your kids will ask. Kids are sponges and they observe everything that goes on around them. I'm glad I didn't give him a watered down answer or make something up. They're smarter than you think.Currently drinking 🍺: Pliny the Elder
