Dad Things - Issue #36
I've collected another set of articles, links, and tweets. I've got nothing much to add here, but be sure to read all the way to the end for your call to action.
(4) Remember That the Audience Always Wants You to Succeed:
I’ve never met anyone who went to an event hoping to be bored and disappointed. The audience really, really wants you to succeed, and if you give them even the slightest chance at having a good time, they will cheer you on.
At this point in my career, I've given numerous talks, presentations, and lunch and learns. I used to be deathly afraid of getting in front of people to talk and truth is, I still get somewhat nervous before a talk. I've come across some bits of advice on public speaking and this is a good collection.
🖥️ I love watching desk set-up tours on YouTube.
🧋A four-part series covering boba in the Greater LA area.
📕Someone created hilarious signs for different sections in a bookstore.
